📈 How can L&D become more data-driven to demonstrate its business effectiveness? 🧠 How can L&D design career growth paths to upskill and reskill their people? ✨How can L&D foster learner engagement?
And now, we're inviting YOU to contribute your brilliant ideas and potential solutions on the open Padlet board! 🎉🔥💪
A huge shout-out to the project team for their exceptional guidance and a special thanks to all the insightful Shakers we interviewed and those who attended the ideation workshop. Your contributions were invaluable! 🙌

🎤Shaker Stage
Let’s welcome Marisol Reuter, Learning & Engagement Manager, Scribbr to take the Stage.
What was a pivotal moment in your career?
-The last company I worked at had a clear need for guidance, skill development and proper onboarding and training of their employees. I worked myself up to a Team Lead position in which I was able to close some of those gaps and help my team become better.
I have always been fascinated by how minds work, and how we can get more out of ourselves and have always enjoyed helping others. Until this point, though, I thought that these skills and interests would only serve within the Psychology industry, which wasn't what I envisioned for myself. And that is when I discovered something wonderful: There is an entire magical world of L&D in which I can apply my skills and interests within companies, too. One year later, I am succeeding in my first L&D role, finding out about many new directions and opportunities, and connecting to many like-minded people.
What are you currently learning?
-Communication is key, I think we can all agree. I, personally, have a thing for languages, so I decided to start an online course in American Sign Language. I'm still very much a beginner (think spelling your name and numbers 1 - 20), but I am enjoying this somewhat different way of communication.
A book that left an impression on you:
-I recently read Atomic Habits by James Clear, and I love everything about the book. With many examples and easy ways of putting the theory into practice, I have introduced a number of new habits into my routine. Getting rid of unhealthy habits is a bit trickier, but it's a work in progress. :)
What does being an L&D Shaker look and feel like for you?
-Since I am fairly new in L&D, I am having many “first times” and I'm soaking up everything I can. L&D Shakers has been a tremendously welcoming community, and I consider being part of it a win – every single day. As a matter of fact, Shakers were one of my first discoveries when finding out about the L&D industry, so I couldn't be more grateful.
〜See you soon
Till then, keep spicing up your learning! 🧠🧂
