🖇New Project
🚀Get ready to jump out of your seat with excitement because we've got some incredible news to share with you!
The biggest project of this year is finally LIVE and we couldn't be more thrilled to introduce you to the L&D Shapers, a Mentorship Program by L&D Shakers.
Our mentorship program is all about building meaningful relationships and supporting each other in our professional journeys. It's time to launch yourself to the next level and become an L&D Shaper!
Here's how it works:
Head over to our webpage and find a mentor who has the experience and profile that you think could support you.
Use the mentor's Calendly link, which you'll find in their profile, to book your session.
Prepare for your session using the handy guidelines and resources prepared for you to help you get the most out of your mentoring experience.
After the session, provide anonymous feedback to your mentor and our project team using the form you'll receive.
But that's not all! If you need a little extra support to help you navigate your career goals and challenges, check out our upcoming Career Compass Session hosted by Andreea Ibănescu.
Book your first mentorship session to take your L&D skills to the next level.
We're so excited to bring this mentorship program to the L&D community and can't wait to see the amazing things that will come out of it. Let's come together, learn, and grow as L&D Shapers!
A massive THANK YOU to all the mentors for generously sharing their time and experience with all the Shakers.

🎤Shaker Stage
Let’s welcome Sean Kirbitson, Leadership and Talent Consultant, Police Scotland to take the Stage.
Someone that inspired you deeply
-Not to get all cheesy, but I'm inspired by Marcus Aurelius. As a student of Stoicism, I often find myself thinking "What would Marcus do" when up against it and facing challenges at work or outside. A lot of the concepts in Stoicism are the foundation of CBT and so I find it really beneficial for my own mental well-being to lean into the words of the iconic Stoic practitioner of which Marcus Aurelius.
What are you currently learning?
-I'm fascinated by how the mind works. I'm going back to Uni in my *cough* the late thirties to study a psychology degree this summer for the next 5 years. It's a personal passion to learn more about the mind but the tangible impact on my professional career seems obvious. I've done a heap of reading and exploration throughout the years and am excited to formalise this, test my abilities, and learn as much as I can.
A podcast others should listen to:
-Great Minds on Learning and the Learning Hack with John Helmer and Donald Clark. Some fascinating conversations right at the cutting edge of new thinking around learning. Always gives me food for thought and challenges me to do more research and discovery.
What does being an L&D Shaker look and feel like for you?
-I'm a newbie, so right now it looks like finding my feet amongst all of the clever and talented people that are part of this community. Not going to lie, I'm riddled with imposter syndrome when I see some of the amazing contributions but I use that as fuel rather than letting it stop me. I'm also confident I've got a lot to offer others too so will contribute when I feel I can.
〜See you soon
Till then, keep spicing up your learning! 🧠🧂
